Three situations we encounter every day.

Why choose an Optimizely partner?

  • Your changes are decided based on opinion

The new page is chosen by whoever speaks the loudest or holds the highest position in the organization. A test settles that discussion with data, saving both meeting time and preventing wrong decisions.

  • You don’t know if a change helped

You revamp your site and hope it’s better, without ever knowing how the old version performed. Every change is then a gamble, and you never see the failed gambles reflected in the numbers.

  • You have a testing tool but no testing program

A testing tool has been purchased, and two tests are run per year. Testing only pays off when it’s part of a regular routine with a steady stream of hypotheses—and that routine is where the real work happens.

Optimizely as the engine behind your optimization

Every euro you spend on traffic flows through the same pages. A few percent more conversion on those pages is worth more than a few percent more traffic, and it doesn’t cost any media budget.

Optimizely is the engine that makes that measurable. You show two versions to similar visitors and measure which one works better, instead of relying on what seems logical. Then you build only what’s proven to work.

You see what’s being tested and why. We make sure the setup is correct, because a test with a measurement error is worse than no test at all.

What We Do with Optimizely

We start with observation, not a brainstorming session. Where do visitors drop off in your metrics, what do you see in session recordings, and which of those points affect the most people? This yields a list of hypotheses in a specific order.

Then we build and run the tests, having defined in advance what we’ll measure and when we’ll stop. Stopping halfway through because things are looking good is the most common mistake in this field.

Finally, the results—including the tests that yielded nothing. That’s not a failure but a saved investment, and it sharpens the next hypothesis.

  • You’ll also see what didn’t work

You’ll see which tests are running, what the hypothesis was, and what the results were—including the tests that didn’t yield any results. Every month, we go over this together, and you decide what we’ll implement.

  • Independent advice

If you don’t have enough traffic to see a difference, we’ll let you know and first look at reach or where visitors are getting stuck. Testing without sufficient volume leads to false confidence.

  • Testing and Development Under One Roof

We build the site, set up the tracking, and run the campaigns, so a winning variant goes live the same week. You’ll work with a dedicated specialist who knows your visitors.

Frequently Asked Questions About A/B Testing

01/ How much traffic do I need to run a test?
Enough to see a difference. With few conversions per week, a test can take months and still not provide any certainty. In that case, it makes more sense to look at where visitors are getting stuck than to run a test. We calculate that in advance.
02/ Where do you get your test ideas?
From observation, not from brainstorming. We first look at where visitors get stuck in your metrics and session recordings, and only then do we decide what to change. Testing without observing results in random tests.
03/ What if a test yields no results?
That’s the most valuable outcome there is, because you’ve learned what doesn’t work without having to implement it permanently. A test program where everything comes out a winner usually measures incorrectly. We also report on what fell short.
04/ What is the difference between A/B testing and personalization?
Testing compares two versions to determine which one works better. Personalization shows different visitors different content based on what you know about them. You start with testing, because without evidence, you won’t know what to personalize.
