Three situations we encounter every day with online stores.

Why platform choices go wrong

  • The advice follows the developer, not your situation

Your developer uses one platform, so that’s the platform you’ll end up with—regardless of whether your prices and links fit within it. We build on multiple platforms and don’t earn anything from a license, so we have no stake in the outcome.

  • Your integrations are an afterthought

The store is up and running, but inventory, prices, and orders aren’t automatically synced with your accounting system. This means someone still has to manually update them, which takes hours every week. The integration isn’t the finishing touch—it’s part of the development process.

  • Attention wanes after launch

The project was delivered, and then nothing happened. Without a metrics framework and monthly improvements, your conversion rate will slowly decline. We build that metrics framework in from day one.

Having a Shopify online store built

Shopify takes care of the work that doesn’t generate revenue for you: hosting, security, updates, and the payment infrastructure. That makes it quick to go live and inexpensive to manage. If you want to have a Shopify online store built, the benefit isn’t in the technology but in the time you save to focus on sales.

The limit lies in your own business logic. Complex pricing structures, deep ERP integrations, or non-standard ordering processes sometimes require more flexibility than a hosted platform can offer. We’ll evaluate this based on your pricing agreements and systems, and we’ll let you know if another platform is a better fit.

The analytics setup is in place from the moment the site goes live, so you’ll see which pages aren’t performing rather than having to discuss them in meetings. We’ve been building online stores since 2004, and those 22 years of client expertise are the driving force behind the choices we propose.

What does a Shopify project entail?

Four layers. The setup: product range, variants, shipping rules, and payment methods—all configured so you can manage them yourself. The design: a theme that reflects your brand, with a checkout process that asks for as little information as possible. The integrations: inventory, pricing, and orders that sync with your accounting system, either directly or through an integration layer. And the analytics setup: accurate metrics from day one, so that improvements aren’t a guess.

From Launch to Ongoing Development

Since the platform handles the administrative work, you can focus your budget on sales. That’s why we go live in phases: first the core—product catalog, checkout, and analytics—then the integrations and extensions that deliver the most value. Every month, we review the metrics together and determine the next step, and you can see what’s running in your own environment. If an extension doesn’t deliver results, we’ll remove it.

Three services that integrate your store with your business.

What a Shopify online store relies on

An online store is never separate from your accounting, your payment process, and your other sales channels. We handle all three with the same team, so you don’t have to coordinate with three different parties.

From platform assessment to monthly adjustments in five steps.

Here’s how we build your Shopify online store

  • 1. Platform Assessment

We assess whether Shopify is a good fit for your pricing, product range, and integrations. If it isn’t, we’ll let you know before anyone starts building.

  • 2. Scope and Phasing

Together, we determine what will go live in phase one and what can wait, prioritizing based on return on investment.

  • 3. Development and Setup

Theme aligned with your brand, product range organized, shipping and payment rules set up, with the tracking setup built in.

  • 4. Integration

Inventory, prices, and orders are synced with your accounting system, with clear documentation of which system is the source of each piece of data.

  • 5. Continuous Improvement

Review the figures every month and make improvements where the most money is at stake. If something isn’t working, it goes.

How much does a Shopify online store cost?

Every collaboration is custom-tailored. What that looks like for you depends on your product range, how much customization you need, and which integrations are required. In addition to the development costs, you’ll need to factor in your subscription and transaction fees.

What you’ll always get: an honest assessment of whether this platform is right for you before anyone starts building, a phased approach that gets your first sales rolling quickly, a dedicated specialist, and a metrics framework from day one.

Frequently Asked Questions About Shopify

01/ How long does it take to build a Shopify online store?
It’s faster than with a platform you have to host and manage yourself, because the foundation is already in place. We go live in phases: first the core—including the product selection, checkout, and measurement setup—then the integrations and extensions. That way, you start generating revenue right away while we continue building.
02/ Can Shopify be integrated with our ERP?
Yes. Inventory, prices, customers, and orders are synced back and forth via a connection—either directly or through an integration layer if multiple systems are involved. We determine in advance which system is the source of each piece of data, because that’s where things usually go wrong—not with the technology itself.
03/ Is Shopify suitable for B2B?
In many cases, yes: login, customer groups with their own prices, ordering on account, and repeat orders can all be set up. However, for highly complex pricing structures or deep ERP logic, another platform may be more suitable. We make that decision based on your pricing agreements, not on personal preference.
04/ Can we switch from Magento to Shopify?
Yes, and we’ll start by asking whether that’s a wise move. If your customizations mainly involve pricing logic and integrations, switching can sometimes be more expensive than continuing to develop your current system. We’ll lay out the pros and cons on paper before you make a decision, including what will be migrated in terms of products, customers, orders, and Google rankings.
05/ How much does a Shopify online store cost?
That depends on your product range, how much customization you need, and which integrations are required. A standard setup is different from a store with an ERP integration and custom pricing logic. Every project is custom, so we won’t provide a quote until the scope is clear.
