Challenge

How do you make a complex label ordering process simple and straightforward without limiting the customer’s freedom of choice? And how do you simultaneously give Eshuis more control over content and the digital customer experience?

Solution

We revamped the Eshuis web store using Magento, Storyblok, a custom label configurator, and an integrated online editor. The result is a digital ordering platform where customers can configure and design labels, reuse artwork, and place orders immediately. At the same time, Eshuis has greater control over content and brand experience.

From cluttered to 'sleek and cleaner'

Design

The Eshuis website has undergone a major overhaul. While the old design could sometimes feel “busy,” we’ve now created an environment that focuses on what matters most. Based on Eshuis’s new branding, we’ve developed a visual design that exudes calm while simultaneously inviting interaction. The result is an interface that radiates professionalism and guides the user every step of the way.

Before & after

Architecture

Storyblok & Magento

  • Magento

Handles the e-commerce and customization aspects of the ordering process. From product configuration and artwork to checkout: all e-commerce logic comes together here.

  • Storyblok

Gives the Eshuis team the freedom to manage pages, content, and the brand story on their own. This allows the team to publish and make changes more quickly, without having to rely on the development team for every update.

Online Editor

The showstopper of the new shop is the integrated online editor. A smart pop-up appears in the shopping cart where customers can instantly upload their files or design their own labels. This editor runs in an iframe, allowing Magento and the editor to communicate continuously. Whether you’re creating a new design or reusing a saved design from “My Artwork” for a reorder, the process is seamless and entirely focused on convenience.

Checkout

The process is divided into two crucial parts: redesigning the user journey and building the new functionalities. A significant amount of custom development went into the checkout flow in particular. The ability to switch between different designs within a single order and the immediate visual feedback in the editor were true firsts. With this, Eshuis demonstrates just how easy ordering labels online can be: professional, personalized, and hassle-free.
