A global network of servers that stores copies of your images, scripts, and stylesheets close to the visitor. This makes your site load faster for someone in Germany or Spain, and frees up your own server capacity for the real work.
02/ How much faster will my site be with a CDN?
You’ll notice a difference, especially for visitors outside the Netherlands and on mobile devices. The exact improvement depends on your current setup: if your images are already optimized, the improvement will be smaller than for a site full of uncompressed photos. We’ll measure the speed before and after.
03/ What does Cloudflare protect my website from?
Malicious traffic is blocked before it reaches your server: attacks that try to take down your site, bots that scrape your prices, and attempts to gain access through your forms. Your server doesn’t even see that traffic.
04/ Does Cloudflare replace my hosting?
No. It acts as a filter and accelerator; your hosting remains where it is. That also makes the transition easy: traffic passes through it step by step, and you can revert to your previous setup if something behaves differently than expected.
